It is a very old craft and has been used for many different purposes such as decoration on clothes or household linens. Embroidery can create simple patterns or intricate scenes. Today, embroidery is still in use by many people around the world. People who embroider frequently do so because they enjoy creating beautiful things or making money from their work.
